If I ever wanted something big as a child, my parents encouraged me to write a persuasive essay about the desired product and why I should get the said product. I remember writing about wanting a puppy and trying to convince my parents why I deserved a dog. I quickly learned how to use correct grammar to help push my case. Funny how that doesn't always persuade parents to buy their children a dog. However, I learned a valuable lesson over those few years. I learned how to organize my thoughts and put them down on paper in a way that made my point seem valid.

The same goes for the Book of Mormon. We would all believe a well-written essay with perfect grammar than the same topic written with errors every other sentence. Which one has more value? The perfect grammar paper, of course. If the Book of Mormon had many grammatical errors, this would be one more reason for people to have greater animosity towards this sacred book. It would dissuade people who read its message for good and discredit all of the work of prophets of old. Because the Book of Mormon has a minimal amount of grammatical errors, it has led scholars and highly educated people to believe in its words and follow Moroni's admonition to pray about the words it offers.
