My Journey in Writing

As I have sat here contemplating the prompt, "What are your strengths in writing?", I have had a hard time coming up with some. I have never seen myself as a writer or even someone good at writing. This semester has pushed me harder than any to get out of my comfort zone.

Now, after writing this first paragraph, I thought of two strengths. The first is that I can understand what I need to work on to improve it. The second is that my confidence has increased when it comes to writing.

Although this might not answer the question directly, I believe these two things will help me throughout the rest of my life. Knowing the improvements I can make will be helpful if I stay consistent in writing — especially personal writing. That consistency will increase any strength I may have.

The second is a boost of confidence for me. Confidence is a great motivator and one that does not come naturally to me while writing. However, I will not hesitate to accept if I'm asked to write a blog post or another form of writing for work or school.
